In short
Before paying for any DHA or Bahria Town property, verify it directly with the authority: confirm the registered owner, check there are no outstanding dues, and confirm possession and development status for that exact plot. Never rely on photocopies or the seller's word alone.
Step-by-step verification
- Get the details: plot or house number, sector or block, phase, and the owner's name as it should appear on record
- Verify with the authority itself, through its official office or official channels, not through a third party's word
- Match the owner's CNIC with the registered owner on record
- Confirm there are no unpaid dues, instalments or development charges
- Check possession status and whether construction is allowed now
- For houses, check the approved building plan and completion paperwork
- Only then agree the price and payment schedule in writing
Warning signs
- A price well below the going rate for the same phase and size
- Pressure to pay a token quickly before you can verify
- The seller won't meet at the authority's office for transfer
- Documents that are photocopies only, or names that don't match
How Land14 helps
We verify every property before we show it to you, and we stay with you through the transfer. If anything doesn't check out, we tell you, even if it means losing the deal.
Questions
How do I check if a DHA plot is genuine?
Verify it directly with DHA through its official office or channels: confirm the registered owner, dues status and possession for that exact plot before paying anything.
Should I pay a token before verifying?
No. Verify the property first. A genuine seller will allow time for verification.
